Geometry description of SVD2 - Belle vertex detector

SVD2 consists of 4 layers of silicon strip-type ladders that are arranged in so-called wind-mill structure and consist of various number of double-sided detectors (DSSDs)

  • active part consists of Si ladders, resp. 2, 3, 5 or 6 DSSDs
  • passive part consists of kapton (polyimide + Cu wires) on the bottom and zylon support ribs together with CRFP support bridge on the top
